Story-driven, funny and poignant wedding films full of personality.

I love so many things about being a wedding filmmaker. I love to travel across Scotland, especially the beautiful north, filming people on the best day of their lives. And I really love to get home and take the footage and turn it into something that makes them laugh and cry; that has a shape and an emotional trajectory.

My edits are musical, rhythmic; they reflect the personalities on screen. I take a lot of time on the details and I love to create something that feels bespoke to my couples. Below are a few examples that I’m very proud of!

Full Films.

AMBER & CALLUM

Amber is Callum’s sunflower... he saw it on TikTok! Baking hot pizzas and even hotter weather. Amber and Callum’s wedding had SO MANY MOMENTS! They had singalongs in the morning whilst getting ready, tears at the reveals, surprise singalongs in the speeches and a party for the ages. What a way to start married life!

Fasque Castle, Aberdeenshire

Netherdale House, Aberdeenshire

AMY & RYAN

“Whoever said there’s no such thing as true love hudnae met these two.” A wedding on the lawn, hilarious speeches, ice cream trucks, fish and chips... it was hard to keep shooting, as I just wanted to join the fun! These guys swiped right and Ryan passed the test with Amy’s family one by one like a game of Street Fighter.

JOANNA & IAIN

Featuring Bonnie the dog in her first starring role as the surprise ring bearer! Iain could barely keep it together when Joanna was walking down the aisle. Luckily Bonnie was there to ease the nerves as she bounded down the aisle to “who let the dogs out”. Sparklers, singing waiters and a dog... what more could you want for a wedding?

Balbirnie House, Fife

Glen Clova, Cairngorms

LISA & GRAEME

It was monsoon season at Glen Clova so we took the party indoors. Lucky for Glen Clova... these guys TORE IT UP from dawn til dusk! It was a massive party for a couple with a huge friend group. The speeches were a riot complete with chants, singalongs and guest appearances from a few of Graeme’s footballing idols.

The Marcliffe, Aberdeen

HOLLY & CHRIS

This was not the first time that Holly and Chris had met at the top of an aisle... they met whilst working at Tesco! The biblical levels of rain were barely even noticeable once these two said their I do’s. Safe to say that Chris left The Marcliffe that day with Tesco’s finest. Badum tsh!

Trailers.

Sherbrooke Castle, Glasgow

SANDY & RUARIDH

“When I met Sandy it was different, she’s definitely the person I was meant to find and has had my heart from that first day.” Ruairidh loves Sandy and he’s known it from day one! These guys had one heck of a day celebrating both their cultures at their wedding in the Southside of Glasgow.

Cluny Castle, Aberdeenshire

LORNA & IAN

If you’re getting married what better way to do it than in a massive old castle and arriving in a top-down vintage sports car? This was a really elegant and fun-filled family affair with lawn games, ice cream karts, super emotional speeches and some traditional Scottish country dancing!

Drumtochty Castle, Aberdeenshire

CALLUM & JENNI

“Oot on the banks of the River Dee Callum’s doon on his lanky knee. My affa fine quine, wid ye be mine?” Callum and Jenni had this amazing poem written and read for them at their wedding by their good friend Neil. It was so perfect it had to be in their film! Here’s a highlight trailer of their amazing winter wedding at Drumtochty!

Falls of Feuch, Aberdeenshire

JOSIE & KIERAN

Josie and Kieran wanted to make a docu-style wedding film complete with an interview about how they met and grew their family. It was such a nice way to tell their story and will be great to show their kids one day. This was all Kieran's idea and hats off to him for it - it was a cracker!

FAQs ↓

  • Well, this isn’t actually a frequently asked question, but it’s worth answering anyway. And the answer is that you should only do that if you love my work and we agree on what makes a great wedding film!

For me, it’s capturing not just the epic romantic stuff, but also the funny stuff and the poignant stuff on the day. I love finding a wee bit of the uniqueness every time, and baking that into the style of the film. I think that’s a great way of making sure you want to watch again and again.

If you watch the example films above, hopefully you can get a glimpse of the characters at the weddings, beyond just the couples - I think that stuff is priceless!

  • So I’ll ask you for some info on your favourite styles of music, and I’ll tailor the music to your general tastes. I use Musicbed for all the music, and the licenses for the songs are included in your fee.

  • Yes! I’m filming drone footage as standard with all packages, subject of course to weather and any issue of permissions/restrictions at the venue.

  • Well, then you’re in the overwhelming majority! Not to worry - my style is completely relaxed and unobtrusive. Before there’s a camera anywhere near you, we’ll have had a few chats and emails to get to know each other. And on the day, I’ll be like a (hilarious, charming) fly on the wall, documenting the day candidly. However, if you are game for playing around and having fun with the camera, then I’m certainly here for that too!

  • I’ll be there 2 hours before your ceremony to catch all the prep and fly the drone.

  • Typically I shoot weddings on my own, though on some shoots I’ll have another shooter working with me as a very discreet assistant. There’s an option with the packages to add on a second shooter if you’d like the extra coverage!

  • You can either book a Cinematic Edit, which will be around 12 mins long, depending on the events of the day - or you can book a Documentary Edit, a chronological film that’s much longer and incorporates full ceremony and speeches. Either way, you’ll also get the ceremony and speeches in full as separate videos, and then a short Social Trailer (circa 90 seconds) suitable for social media. All in, it’s probably 60-90 minutes of footage.

  • Yes, if you’d like you can buy all of the raw footage for £300. They are massive files, and the best stuff makes it into the edit - but if you need to get your hands on the raw footage, the option is there!

KIND WORDS

“Craig, thank you so much for our video! We’ve watched it about 10 times already and it’s just amazing! You really captured everything so well. We love all of the attention to detail - it’s honestly perfect. More than we ever expected!”
