My name is Craig, and I’m a hopeless romantic. My wife and I have a belter of a meet-cute: actual high school penpals who got married!

Two people in costumes with makeup, one with yellow and black hair and orange face paint, and the other with bright red hair and makeup resembling a lion.

My wife Rachael and I met on holiday when I was fourteen. It was long before the days of mobile phones, so we kept in touch and got to know each other as legit old-school penpals, until we were old enough to get cross-country trains to meet up and snog each other. You can see some of the letters - and comic strips! - that we wrote for each other below. And - hey! My penmanship obviously did the job; today, we’ve been together for more than two decades, and we’re raising a lovely wee family - two boys, Robin and Callan - in my hometown of Carnoustie.

I think wedding films should be personal, and specific. I’m not into signature shots, and I don’t approach any two weddings the same.

Three band members performing live on stage in a gallery. The lead vocalist and guitarist is singing into a microphone and playing an electric guitar, the drummer is behind his drum set smiling, and the bassist is playing his bass guitar. The stage has a sound mixer and various equipment.

I’ve spent my adult life around weddings (check out my wedding band Franco!) and so I feel very much at home in this world. A wedding film is the only time that most of us commission a bespoke piece of film that documents a bit of our lives, or that tells a story about ourselves and our family and friends. So I’m obsessed with storytelling, and with the detail of editing, because those are the tools I can use to make something that really represents your day.

KIND WORDS

“Craig we’ve just spent the evening watching all the videos and sobbing (all happy tears!!) all over again -  thank you for capturing our wedding so beautifully! We’ve just been saying to each other how happy we are to have chosen you!”
